I love that quote by Thomas Jefferson!

in 2000 I went from NYC with busloads of other sentient people to protest
the inauguration.
The younger kids just wanted to wave posters at cops and say "fuck"...so i
headed out in the freezing rain to the Lincoln Memorial. Standing there,
(and in the Jefferson memorial later) I was struck by the dichotemy of the
words etched in stone before me versus the fanfare I could hear in the
distance. Perhaps if the appointed president would have stood in either
place for just a moment~ completely alone~ he could have heard what the
walls whisper and been inspired to be a leader, instead of a hubristic
destroyer.

And on a lighter note, Charles asked me to post this reply, as his computer
is not totally up yet :
(ps- do the "light jackets" have to do with black light??)

Hi Katie,

So good to here from someone that is going to do HAiR close by, if there is
any way I can make it I will be there, but right now that is to far out for
me to put on the calendar right now. If I can help you in anyway I will be
glad to do my best to be there for you. You are the first person I have
responded to today, I now have my internet service setup connected at my new
location in the mountains of Georgia, this is only temporary though, maybe
through the summer into fall, don't really know right now. Lot of things
going on.
Maybe this production you are doing could use some Light Jackets like in the
original show, ask the producer and the director about it.
Send this through the HAiR net so all can read this I am not connected on
this computer as yet..
Please keep in tough :-) :-) :-)

Peace, Love, & Blessings ~~Charles~~

PS Gotta get my smilies back on this computer, not the same.
