Example: A new building going up on the Upper West Side near Columbus Circle is advertising 1- to 3-bedroom apartments "starting at $3-$5 million." One bedroom for $3 million. And that is on the third floor, directly above the commercial space, facing Broadway and the traffic and other noise. As for rentals, there is no longer anything (including studios) under $1,800 - and that includes Brooklyn, most of Queens and parts of the Bronx. The situation is sickening. And they wonder why people are leaving.

WATER – In theatres April 28th

See the controversial film Time Magazine proclaims "A Triumph." Set in 1938 Colonial India, against Mahatma Gandhi's rise to power, Water begins when 8-year-old Chuyia is widowed and sent to a home where Hindu widows must live in penitence. Chuyia's feisty presence deeply affects the lives of the other
residents, including a young widow, who falls for a Gandhian idealist.
