E-Mail ThisI offer much the same comment here that I did re the newly found fossil issue: i.e., what an unbelievable coincidence that this text has been discovered at this exact moment in time - just in time for the raging debate re Christianity, its foundations and various "science vs. faith" issues.

Really! Can you imagine?! Both the discovery of a transitional fossil that may "tip" the "evolution vs. intelligent design" debate, and the discovery of a "Gospel of Judas" that may bear on Christianity per se - at this exact moment in the course of both debates?!!!

Hmmm.....

'Gospel of Judas' Surfaces After 1,700 Years
By JOHN NOBLE WILFORD and LAURIE GOODSTEIN
The text gives new insights into the relationship of Jesus and the disciple who betrayed him, scholars reported today.

Thank You For Smoking opens March 17th

Nick Naylor, chief spokesman for Big Tobacco, makes his living defending the rights of smokers and cigarette makers in today's neo-puritanical culture. Confronted by health zealots and an opportunistic senator, Nick goes on a PR offensive, spinning away the dangers of cigarettes.
