Well, there are 'Bush Go Home' posters plastered all over the place but
he probabably won't get to see them. Mar del Plata has been completely
sealed off from the outside world and the airport will be receiving 50+
flights a day related to security, supplies etc and generally keeping
Bush coccooned, safe and happy. He is not at all popular in this part of
the world but President Kirchner (of Argentina) needs the support of the
US in Arg's dealings with the IMF so in spite of K's public love affair
with Chavez (they both talk left whilst filling their pockets in a very
capitalist way) K + B will probably have a schmooze-in. If any of you are
that interested the local English language newspaper down her, the Buenos
Aires Herald can be accessed on www.buenosairesherald.com

As far as the US is concerned Brazil is the key player and the place they
need to keep on side if they are to contain Chavez and Fidel.

Bush Faces Tough Time in South America
  By LARRY ROHTER
If George W. Bush is expecting some respite from his troubles at home
during summit talks, he is in for a very rude awakening.
