Power abused, democracy corrupted.

For Congress to step into the Schivao case is a blatant trampling of
individual rights. Last week Judge Greer refused to answer a Congressional
subpoena, correctly stating that Washington has had numerous opportunities in the
past 7 years to get involved. Michael Schivao asked why Bush is so hot and
heavy to get involved now, he hasn't bothered stopping by or mentioning the case
in any of the numerous trips made to the Tampa Bay area in the past year.
This whole thing stinks of political pandering to a minority. In the following
article Times Columnist Howard Troxler brings up a interesting scenario if
the same issue of overriding individual rights occurred with Hilary as
president, would she get the same rabid support? What is really sad is these
grandstanding bastards are ignoring the wishes of the majority of citizens - the
decision should rest with the spouse.
