Adela Holzer was also the producer of Gerry Ragni's Dude. I had heard she
had gotten in some trouble a few years ago. I had no idea it was so
extensive. Thanks for passing this on, Ian.

>It has been a long second act. In the 1960's and 70's, Adela Holzer was
>well known on Broadway as a producer and an investor in shows that included
>the hit rock musical "Hair." Then, in 1979, she was found to have started
>a
>second career; she was convicted of defrauding investors of nearly $100,000
>in bogus schemes not involving the theater, and she served two years in
>prison. In 1990, she pleaded guilty to stealing more than $400,000 in
>another investment swindle and served four more years. Two years ago, she
>was convicted of bilking illegal immigrants of more than $200,000 in yet
