Yep, you got it straight.

After living in Manhattan for so long and experiencing such mayors as
Dinkins, Koch, and part of Giuliani, when I saw Bloomberg, a Republican
Billionaire Media Mogul (among other things), elected as Mayor of NYC, I
was sitting in Texas and laughed so hard that my milk shot out of my nose.

It was hilarious to watch him be elected on television from way down here
in cactus country.

I thought, incredulously, to myself "How can those people be THAT
stupid...????"

And sat back to watch the results of Bloomberg literally buying his way
into the Mayorship of NYC.

After him contributing $5 Million to the Republican Convention and watching
the fiasco over "The City" preventing people from gathering in protest on
the Great Lawn, to me, personally, none of it is a surprise. Whatsoever.

Hey, they bought America long ago.

Buying NYC was just a matter of time.

And they said it couldn't be done..........

I learn something new every day.
