Alaska Oil Spill Takes Toll on Animals and Fisheries

Old news already, December 8th... oh well... more tragic disaster...

(excerpt)

More than 355,000 gallons of fuel oil are now thought to have spilled from
the freighter Selendang Ayu, which ran aground and split in two just off
Unalaska Island on Dec. 8.

The 738-foot Selendang Ayu was headed from Seattle to China carrying
soybeans and about 480,000 gallons of fuel when its engines failed and
fierce winds thwarted efforts by a rescue tug to keep it from running
aground. Most members of the crew were saved, but six of them were killed
when a Coast Guard rescue helicopter crashed into the sea. The bow half of
the ship has since been tilted precipitously and almost fully submerged by
gale-force winds.

I think I figured out why any aliens might ever want to come to Earth (at
least 1 of the reasons), they don't have videos so they come here and just
watch us and never have a boring moment ever. I wonder what the admission
fee is....... Our lives maybe..? Who knows... Getting flashbacks of
watching too much Invasion Of The Body Snatchers and Night Of The Living
Dead. Regardless of late night ramblings, tragic story, they never seem to
stop... I don't know why sometimes... Where is rewind on this remote........
