......i am frankly astonished at the perceptions aired recently about bin laden...peter brooking, of the right wing, fascist, u.s. world domination group, the heritage foundation has bin laden living in a cold damp cave...another has him sipping tea in a tent somewhere in the middle of nowhere....these are absurd suppositions....osama bin laden is viewed by the vast majority of muslems as a great man...in egypt [one of the most "moderate" islamic countries] 93% of the population support bin laden...the idea that he is skulking somewhere, living in stark and impoverished conditions is, frankly, idiotic....it is common knowledge that bin laden isn't short of a bob or two...the freezing of bank accounts by the u.s. government has very little if any effect...anyone ever heard of hard cash ???with several suit cases full of large denomination bank notes the world is your oyster..who needs banks??..for osama bin laden the muslem world is indeed his oyster..he is almost certainly living very comfortably protected by loyal folk who are inpenetrable by u.s. intelligence [as i have stated before "in order to have good intelligence you need intelligence"]...bin laden, it is alleged, has just recently claimed responsibility for 911...personally i don't believe this but what the u.s. fails to understand is that the islamic world regard 911 as a tremendous triumph..to me it's quite obvious why he would accept the credit for this...it only heightens his regard among his billions of followers...catching or killing bin laden will have absolutely no effect whatsoever..."al qaeda"is now a world wide group with thousands of "leaders"....the battle "militarily" is lost...it is time for some real intelligence to take charge before it is far too late [if it isn't already}..mad baker
